Amy works full-time as the Senior Policy Specialist at the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She joined DCCADV in 2007 after several years of legislative advocacy work in Maryland and Virginia. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, she also has a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Social Change from George Mason University. As the Senior Policy Specialist, Amy provides advocacy on behalf of victims and survivors of domestic violence and domestic violence service providers in the District. She is also Co-Chair of the Rainbow Response Coalition, a community-based organization dedicated to addressing Intimate Partner Violence in the D.C. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) communities. Amy has also recently been honored with the 2010 Next Generation Award from Metro Weekly Magazine in recognition of her work on behalf of LGBT survivors of domestic violence. |
