Thomas Buckley, MHS, is the Director of Field Operations for PreventionWorks!, a harm reduction program in the District of Columbia. Prior to PreventionWorks!, he served as Deputy Director for Community Crisis Services, Inc. He is a member of Maryland Alliance of Information and Referral Systems and Board Member for the National Association of Crisis Center Directors. Tom is a certified crisis worker, information and referral specialist, certified communications training officer, trained in critical incident stress managment and an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Instructor. Tom has served on the Maryland Behavioral Health All-Hazards commission for disaster preparedness and response and on the Maryland Suicide Planning Committees for both youth and adults. Tom has served 17 years as a police dispatcher and 9 years as an emergency medical technician.
